✦: My muse was attacked but yours saved them- how’ll my muse ever thank them?
Hiei couldn’t help but gaze at the kid in slight surprise. He hadn’t even seen that demon coming, hadn’t sensed it until the last second. Sure he would have survived the attack without any issue but the fact still remained at this human boy had come out of nowhere and slaughtered that demon as if it was a piece of paper. It seemed it was at least partially through the help of a spirit… but at this point that didn’t make Hiei any less impressed. That a human would have such power… it seemed some of them might actually not be completely useless. He glanced away then. “… I could have taken that thing…” However it was softer then what he’d normally say. He carefully stood, frowning as he wasn’t one to really show appreciation. He glanced over again, seeing the weapon that the human was using. The wooden sword honestly looked rather badly chipped and really badly worn out. “Wait here a moment."
After that Hiei left to go deep into the forest finding a fallen tree who’s bark was infused with demon blood making it stronger then normal. He slashed off a good chunk of it and easily carved it into the shape of his own sword, needing to use his flames combined with the steel of his sword to do so. Satisfied after he’d tested it against the tree it came from he returned to where the boy had assisted him and handed him the wooden blade. “Here. It’s… made from a lot stronger wood then yours. Should be harder to break.” It wasn’t much but for Hiei that was the best thank you you were going to get.
