“It’s not like I don’t understand that. Plus, I just moved from my old home, so I… don’t have any friends anymore. I’m enrolling in school soon in Hokkaido. It’s gonna be lonely.” She had her worries anyway. The reason she moved in the first place was because of the nature construction. She probably… wouldn’t be very liked. Did lonely people just attract each other? “I’ll be your friend if you’ll be my friend.”
“I’ll be your friend Tamiko-chan. That way neither of us will be lonely anymore. I might move soon myself though… B-but even if that were to happen, we’ll still be friends and I’ll come back and play with you.” he promised, taking her hand in his. “H-hey! I know, I’ll take you to my favourite spot. It’s really pretty there.”
“There are bad humans… and I think those bad people should be wiped out. If they just cause other people misery, that’s just not fair for people like you. But what is ‘normal’? You do things because it’s who you are. The not normal ones are the ones… who don’t accept those around them. But you should find the ones who don’t do that… and only get rid of the horrible people, right? But really, most people would find it strange to hear something like this so suddenly. It could be scary for a lot of people.”
“I dislike humans. Most seem to know how to hurt and take pleasure in hurting others.” he stated quietly. “But you – You’re really nice. I like you, Tamiko. Can… Can we be friends?” he asked quietly, almost afraid of her answer.
“Kurobe Tamiko. It’s not my place to speak rudely to you who I’ve only just met. You haven’t acted rudely to me, so I shouldn’t to you either. I don’t know why nobody else will be kind to you, but that isn’t right of them. It’s fine to make peace, but it’s not right of anyone to kill everyone either. You look like a normal person to me… but human or not, you’re a living creature, and deserve to be treated as one.”
"Yeah well… I think Niisama has the right idea. Humans aren’t typically as nice as you are.“ he whispered. ”Most humans hate me because… I do things that aren’t natural or normal.“
“Hm? Am I strange? Sorry if that was awkward… I’m Tamiko, by the way. But if you guys are working to make things better, why would anyone ignore you?” Nice lady? Maybe he didn’t meet many people who smiled at him. Was he the type to get bullied? That was… a shame. To her eyes, he looked lonely.
“Asakura Yoh.” For the first time, he gave his full name now. “You’re strange because… You speak kindly to me, nobody but Niisama does this.” he explained “Niisama… Is a bit strange, he wants to completely remake the world so there’s peace for all. No wars or hunger, or petty squabbles anymore. Niisama will destroy all humans and the reason I am ignored. I'm not human, I’m special.”
“I was only passing through… but that doesn’t mean I can’t say hi, right? I don’t know who your Niisama is, because I haven’t passed anyone else yet, but if he’s protecting you, cheer up. You said there were others, so people talk to you, don’t they? I’m sure it’s fun having a lot of people to talk to.”
“Niisama is a very scary, very gentle boy and he doesn’t like me talking to strange humans.” he stated simply, but he was curious, she sure had a sweet smile. “Niisama is probably off with with his followers and I’m gonna join them soon and we’ll change the world for the better.” A soft smile now. “I’m Yoh. What’s your name, nice lady?” A nice human did that even truly exist? Time to find out.
What was that boy doing by himself? He didn’t seem to be too happy… Damuko herself was luckily off from school for a bit, but she’d never seen someone pass her at these hours looking so uncertain and down. “I’m not lost. What about you? Are you… alright?”
“People don’t come here and they certainly don’t talk to me.” he stated simply. “I’m… I’m fine. I have Niisama and others who protect me. I don’t need anybody or anything else.” he added as he studied her, she seemed normal. A human. A stupid human female, he didn’t like this, would she yell and snap at him too.
