“Hmph, ‘play’? Do you think this is some playground?” He snorted, his eyes glowering on the other. Just what does he take him to be for? Some lonely Shaman to be toyed with? He won’t have any of it. “I don’t have time to be playing friends with you, whether you’re a Shaman or not, although a Shaman is more favorable than a pesky human. I don’t know what you have in mind for playtime, but if it’s anything other than a battle, then get lost.”
"You must be pretty lonely then.” a quiet statement, but he was suddenly sure was true. “Even if you’re busy you should still have time to cloud watch, or watch the stars, or just explore places.” Yoh stated a bit confused. “But if you wanna spar that’s fine too. ’m pretty strong though.” he warned.
“I am special. I am Tao Ren, 43rd heir to the famed Tao family in China, a long-lined family of Shamans.” He had to admit though, he was caught off guard by this boy. Ren had came here expecting a killing intent to spring up, and even more so when Yoh spoke to him out of the blue. But, he doesn’t… feel any. All in all, he was more confused if anything. “You don’t look any less lonely than I am. Tsh, I can’t really have ‘friends’.”
”You are like me then. I’m a shaman too.“ he stated simply. ”Though I dunno where my guardian is at the moment, he kinda… Wanders.“ he explained in an off-hand tone. ”Anybody can have friends. Better a shaman than a human, right…? I’ll play with you if you’d like.“
“What…did you say?” He hadn’t expected a stranger to just take a jab at him over his loneliness. Over a mere first glance as well. It was a tad nerving, but he bore with it for a little while and held back his spark of anger. “Who’re you?”
“Asakura Yoh.” he replied quietly. “I said you looked lonely. You must be special like me. No friends… No living friends anyway.” he added a bit of bitterness to his tone. “I’m sorry… I’ve upset you, haven’t I?”
Maybe it was wrong to assume, but. “You look lonely.” something that was plainly obvious. He wanted to reach out, maybe make a friend, but… Somehow something was stopping him.
霊 —;; You really wanna piss off Yoh, call him insane because he seemingly talks to the wind. The kid can and will hold grudges against those who’ve wronged him.
✄ for a PET PEEVE headcanon.
霊 —;; Yoh hates to be told he’s a freak, that he’s different. His greatest pet peeve is being avoided just because of that difference. Don’t go out of your way to ignore what he says or does.
{霊} —;; I don’t really have an opinion of him yet. I mean only seen him a few times, you know. I think he’s lonely. I wonder if his heart aches as much as mine still does…? I wanna help him.
—;; Somebody he’d never met hated him? Yoh could feel tears begining to well up but he gave a soft sigh. It would seem he’d forever be ‘leaf boy’ a useless pathetic freak.
